President Steen has asked Vice President for Finance and Administration Steve Taksar to chair the search for the Vice President for Student Affairs and Enrollment Management. Two PATs will serve on the search committee along with four faculty, one OS, and one student. Review of candidates is expected to begin this fall and continue into the spring. Below is an overview of the position.
The Vice President for Student Affairs and Enrollment Management is a member of the cabinet providing university-wide leadership and direction related to student recruitment and support. The position includes responsibility for enrollment management—admissions and domestic and international recruitment—and for student affairs, which includes the university union, orientation, co-curricular activities, counseling, drug and alcohol assessment, residential life, financial aid, health and wellness, veteran’s affairs, judicial processes, the university police, and student government.

Nominating and Balloting Process Timeline for VPSAEM Representatives
August 22-26: Nominations accepted online until noon on August 26.
August 26-31: Contact all nominees and collect candidate statements of interest. All statements due by August 31 at noon.
September 1: Prepare ballot and statements of interest.
September 2-9: Voting period. All votes must be submitted by September 9 at noon.
September 9: Announce two (2) PAT representatives.
